Price for electricity

Since water, heat and internet is included in the rental price, we only have to pay for electricity, we are living 2 dults and 2 kids in a 2 room apartment and we normaly pay 25-30 dollars pr. month. I ahve talekd with other familys around in Eagle Heights, and they tell me that is also more or less what the pay.
But at summer time it can get very hot, and you might wanna use a aircondition, and that cost more in electricity.

Free bus from Eagles Heights, to campus and back

From Eagles Heights you can take the bus no. 80 which will bring you to campus, and back, it passes by the university hospital. And the best part, it is free. The bus departs frequently, from many stops at the Eagle Heights, you can see a schedule her: http://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/schedules/Route80/

How about furnitures, in the apartment ?

Before comming here, we knew that the apartment was unfurnished, so I had been searching and searching on the net to find out a solution. There are companyes in Madison were you can rent funriture, but they are very expensive, so I had to find another solutions. And since we were only goin gto stay for 6 month, i had to be cheap.
We rented a car, and a hotel for two nights, so we could go shopping :-) we went to Walmart, and bought the plates, knifes and othe kitchen things, that seems to be the cheapest place for that. Here we also bought a table with 4 chairs, for 199.-
Then we went to TJ-Maxx here we bought linned, towels, and some clothes fo our self, you can find other things here, but you can never be sure what to find. If you like this kind of shop, you should go to Marshalls, it is the same owner and the same things and prices, but more organized and bigger.
Then we took the two hour drive to Chicago, to Ikea, where we got a sofa, and many other things, we should have started out with that, because that is a cheaper option, and you get som ok furniture for the price, and since we were only going to stay for short time, it was the best solution.
At Eagle Heights, at all the bus stops there are posters hanging were people are selling all kinds of stuff, so look at those to find some cheap things, but be aware of buying madresses, and sofas, because they can contain animals.

Hope that helps
